Vastu
Vastu Shastra, often simply referred to as Vastu, is an ancient Indian architectural science that deals with the design, layout, and construction of buildings and spaces. It is believed to have originated thousands of years ago and is considered a traditional system of architecture and design.
The primary goal of Vastu is to create harmonious and balanced living spaces that promote well-being, prosperity, and happiness for the occupants. It is based on the principles of balancing the natural elements and energies present in the environment to enhance the flow of positive energy (known as “prana” or “chi”) within a structure.
It’s important to note that while Vastu Shastra holds significant cultural and historical importance in India, its scientific validity has been a topic of debate. Some aspects of Vastu can be aligned with principles of architectural and interior design that focus on creating pleasant and functional spaces.
